FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dietary regimens for animals, particularly to dietary regimens applicable to simulate a caloric restriction in animals. A dietary regimen applicable to simulate the caloric restriction in an animal involves applying three diets in the animal. These diets include taking one or more biologically active dietary supplements able to simulate the caloric restriction in an amount sufficient to simulate the caloric restriction. In the first diet, the animal is young; in a second one, it is adult, whereas in the third one, it is old. The biologically active dietary supplements in the first, second and third diets are different. The biologically active dietary supplements in the first diet are at least one dietary supplement from ginkgo biloba and L-carnitine. The biologically active dietary supplements in the second diet are at least two dietary supplements from vitamin C, vitamin E, grapeseed proanthocyanidin extract, and cystein. The biologically active dietary supplement in the third diet is L-carnitine.
