FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to painting of large-size flexible parts of geometry varying at their displacement and can be used for car body painting. In compliance with this process, part is gripped and retained at robot boom end. Then, sprayer is held fixed relative to said robot. Then, the part is strained to configuration wherein strained sections feature stable geometry over the entire part body. Besides, processed part is displaced relative to sprayer so that the entire surface to be painted is fed in front of said sprayer at retaining the part in as-strained configuration.
EFFECT: higher quality of processing and/or produced parts.
