FIELD: physics; control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for automatic control of a fractionation process and can be used in chemical, pharmaceutical, oil refining and food industries. A method for automatic control of the efficiency of a fractionation process includes determining the current temperature profile of the column and calculating the current efficiency of the fractionation column established as the target for the feed mixture temperature controller, robust stabilisation of the temperature of the lower point of the temperature profile by varying the flow of heating steam with correction of the concentration of the desired product and compensation for perturbations at the side of the feed line and adaptive control of the upper point of the temperature profile by varying the flow of reflux depending on the current loss of material at the top of the column. The flow of the reflux is varied depending on the drift rate of the control criterion.
EFFECT: providing an efficient fractionation process.
