SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunication and computer engineering. The method includes forming a module in the form of a bit string, representing a prime binary polynomial of degree s, where s is a multi-bit binary number, such that the multi-bit binary number 2s-1 is prime; generating a secret key in the form of two multi-bit binary numbers e and d, which satisfy the condition ed=1 mod Ω, where Ω=2s-1; and converting a message M and cryptogram C as elements of the final multiplicative group G, the group operation of which is an operation for modular multiplication of binary polynomials with the prime binary polynomial of degree s and which includes binary polynomials, the degree of which is less than that of the multi-bit binary number s.
EFFECT: more secure data transmission.
