SUBSTANCE: method of container drying of grain consists in the fact that the grain is charged into the container, dried, cooled and discharged. The novelty is that the grain is stirred after reaching at the height of the grain layer of $$\frac{h_{cr}}{2}$$ normal amount of moisture W_c where h_cr is critical layer height fulfilling the condition δ≤±1.5%, m (for the interval of humidity W=19…22%, h_cr=0.18 m; for the interval W=23…27%, h_cr=0.13 m). The stirring frequency is determined by the formula. The last stirring is carried out at W_p≤W_k+ΔW_i, where W_p is the grain moisture content at last stirring, %. The device for container drying of grain comprises a container 1 with a perforated bottom 2, a dryer 3 with air channels 4, a fan, and a heater. The novelty is that the device is provided with a quick-detachable mixing chamber 8 and the rotation means 7 of the container 1 together with the mixing chamber 8 in the vertical plane, and the mixing chamber 8 is made in the form of a funnel with a discharge valve 9.

EFFECT: increase in efficiency of drying.
