FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: production method of periclase clinker containing 90-98% MgO involves calcination of natural magnesite at the temperature of 900-1050°C, crushing of calcinated magnesite, its briquetting and annealing of a briquette. According to the invention, crushing is performed till external specific surface area of not less than 2.0 m2/g is obtained and till mass fraction of particles of less than 20 mcm is at least 90%, out of which amount of particles of less than 5 mcm is at least 45%. Calcination is performed by uniform temperature distribution of calcination in the volume of natural magnesite, which is provided by changes in the design of a rotating furnace, and calcinated magnesite with particle size of not more than 8 mm is used for crushing.
EFFECT: increasing clinker density.
