FIELD: fire-resistant materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of fire-resistant materials, namely unmoulded masses intended for repairs of metallurgical units, including repair of hearths and slopes of electric furnaces, which combine rapid sintering and sufficient durability well. The basis of the fire-resistant filling mass is periclase of different fractions with a predominance of the middle fraction of 1-3 mm. The fire-resistant mass contains iron-containing material in an amount of 1-5 wt.% and temporary binder. As an iron-containing material with a total content of iron oxides of 75-100% of its mass, it contains iron scale, and/or iron concentrate, and/or iron ore of hematite composition, and/or iron ore of magnetite composition. Additionally, the mass may contain mineral sintering additives: calcium aluminates, sodium metasilicate, ferruginous dolomite, titanium-containing materials (natural origin or ferroalloys).
EFFECT: increase in the adhesion of the mass to the surface of the lining, an increase in the mechanical strength and thermal resistance of the lining due to the formation of fire-resistant phases during operation.
