FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of processing gases. A method of recycling flare gases, which includes two-step compression of flare gases with a liquid-ring compressor using, at the first compression step, aqueous alkanolamine solution as the working fluid, separating the compressed product from the first compression step to obtain desulphurised gas, a hydrocarbon condensate and a hydrogen sulphide-saturated alkanolamine absorbent, compressing the desulphurised gas at the second step with the liquid-ring compressor using a hydrocarbon absorbent as the working fluid, cooling and separating the compressed product from the second compression step to obtain a stripped gas, a water condensate and an absorbate. The water condensate is mixed with the hydrogen sulphide-saturated alkanolamine absorbent and taken for regeneration; the hydrocarbon condensate is mixed with the absorbate to obtain a wide hydrocarbon fraction which is taken for subsequent processing, and the stripped gas is subjected to membrane separation to obtain hydrogen and fuel gas.
EFFECT: reduced loss of hydrogen and hydrocarbon fractions.
