FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting-shearing tools with bodies made of both steel and matrix material. Passive gage part of said tools is built up with hard alloy coating and reinforced with PDC diamond polycrystalline cutters. This drill bit comprises body with coupling thread, central channel and flushing fluid outlets and blades with passive gage part. Surface of the latter is protected with hard alloy ply and reinforced with PDC cutters. The latter are arranged so that PDC cutter axis in the plane perpendicular to drill bit ax is inclined at 3-5 degrees to the plane extending through drill bit axis and its centre towards the side opposite the drill bit direction of spinning. Note here that extending PDC cutter leading edge is located at drill bit nominal diameter.
EFFECT: higher impact resistance of passive gage section.
