FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: system includes subsatellite (vessel) and satellite means for measurement of oceanographic characteristics. Subsatellite measuring means are represented by five sets of measuring sensors and complex measuring devices, first (1) of which is placed on bow of the vessel, located under water, second (2) - on bow part of the vessel, located above water, third (3) - on the vessel board, fourth (18) - on drifting buoys, and fifth (19) - on probes, launched overboard. First (1) set consists of sensors of sea water temperature, electrical conductivity and pressure, oxygen concentration, index of light dispersion in water, device (12) for outboard sea water sampling. Second (2) set consists of sensors of atmospheric air temperature, humidity and pressure, direction and velocity of near-water wind, device for measuring fluorescence of phytoplankton and dissolved (yellow) organic substance, meter (radiometer) of radiation temperature of the sea surface and meter of spectral brightness of the sky, brightness of the sea and irradiance of the sea surface with sun radiation. Third (3) set consists of meter of spectral index of the sea water light attenuation, meter of fluorescence of phytoplankton chlorophyll and dissolved (yellow) organic substance, meter of concentration of chlorophyll and dissolved (yellow) organic substance, meter of concentration of carotenoids, pheophytin, and carbon. Fourth (18) set consists of sensors for measurement of air temperature, velocity and direction of wind, atmospheric pressure, water electrical conductivity, temperature of water in surface layer, hydrostatic pressure, height, rate, period and direction of the sea waves. Fifth (19) set consists of devices for measuring constituents of vector of subwater currents, rate of sound propagation, temperature, relative electrical conductivity, hydrostatic pressure, concentration of dissolved oxygen, index of hydrogen ions, threshold sensitivity of concentration of sulphides at twelve horizons to depth 250 m. Satellite measuring means include device (6) for determination of the vessel coordinates and device (8) for determination of coordinates of beam for scanning water surface by artificial Earth satellite. Parameters of subsatellite measuring means are used in correction of satellite data in device (11) of correction of satellite information and storage of oceanographic data.

EFFECT: increased descriptiveness and reliability in determination of oceanographic characteristics and identification of their spatial distribution.
