SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of earth exploration, in particular to the physical fields parameters characteristics registration above the hidden or open objects surface with subsequent processing of the registered values, and can be used in various fields, such as geophysical research, building diagnostics, seismic exploration, leak detection system. Array of sensors of registration equipment, having rigid attachment relative to each other, is moved over an extended or flat object, characteristics of physical field of which need to be measured, wherein the sensors have the same structure and properties and measure the same value, and the entire array of sensors is moved by scanning in a system of orthogonal coordinates over the object in at least one pass, wherein the readings of all sensors are recorded simultaneously.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining characteristics of the physical field of an underwater or subterranean object with simultaneous simplification of the method.
