FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organometallic synthesis and specifically to a method of producing racemic 1-ethyl-3,4-bis[(oxyphenyl)methyl]aluminacyclopentanes of general formula (1a-d) : a) R1 = R3 = H, R2 = OMe; b) R1 = H, R2 = R3 = OMe; c) R1 = R2 = R3 = OMe; d) R1 = H, R2,R3 = OCH2O. The method includes reacting unsaturated compounds with ethyl aluminium dichloride EtAlCl2 and magnesium metal in the presence of a Cp2ZrCl2 catalyst. The unsaturated compounds used are substituted allyl benzenes (allyl anisole, 4-allyl-1,2-dimethoxybenzene, 5-allyl-1,2,3-trimethoxybenzene, 5-allyl-1,3-benzodioxole). The reaction is carried out in molar ratio Cp2ZrCl2:Mg:EtAlCl2:allyl benzene = (0.8-1.2):20:(25-50):20 at 20-30°C for 72 hours in tetrahydrofuran.
EFFECT: compounds can be used as synthons for fine organic and organometallic synthesis.
