FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: occupational electroencephalogram (EEG) is recorded. Total EEG spectrum power is determined in the range from 4 to 25 Hz and in the sub-ranges: from 4 to 8 Hz, from 8 to 13 Hz, from 13 to 25 Hz. The derived values are used to calculate a criteria parameter K; provided K is more than 0, a dangerous hypoxic state is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables the immediate occupational identification of the dangerous hypoxic state that is ensured by recording EEG and calculating the parameter K according to measuring the total electrical activity power within the above ranges.
