FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanics, namely, to means of protection of aircrafts. The towed decoy target comprises target connected through the rope to the aircraft. On the target located in a cylindrical container, an infrared emitter is disposed, the container has a cover and a spring pusher with a piston which at the compressed state of the spring is fixed by the stoppers to the electric locks, electrically connected through the switch to a current source. A control unit is located on the aircraft, and in the container together with the rope connecting the target to the aircraft, the cable is placed, which is electrically connected through the switch to the infrared emitter and the current source.
EFFECT: improvement of the protection efficiency of an aircraft (AC) from damage when attack of the missile of self-homing on the infrared radiation of the AC.
