FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: mirror includes a semitransparent mirror, a monitor and a locking mechanism. The semitransparent mirror is used such that a vehicle passenger can see in the backward direction relative the vehicle. The monitor is placed near the semitransparent mirror in the forward direction of the vehicle. The locking mechanism moves relative to a video image displayed on the monitor and changes the angle of the reflecting surface of the semitransparent mirror relative to the position of the semitransparent mirror when viewing in the backward direction relative to the vehicle.
EFFECT: improved visibility of the video image on the monitor and reduced glare on the passenger with light reflected from the semitransparent mirror.
