SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and a terminal for feeding back channel state information. The method comprises the following steps: UE determines channel state information containing a first-type PMI and/or a second-type PMI according indication information, wherein the first-type PMI is used to indicate a first precoding matrix index in a first precoding table, wherein each first precoding matrix is used to display channel information for one broadband and/or a long-term channel; the second-type PMI is used to indicate a second precoding matrix index in a second precoding table, wherein each second precoding matrix is used to display channel information for one subband and/or short-term channel; the UE periodically feeds back the first-type PMI over a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and periodically or non-periodically feeds back the second-type PMI over a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or transmits the first-type PMI and the second-type PMI over the PUCCH.
EFFECT: high accuracy of feeding back channel state information by UE and enabling a base station to dynamically select single-user MIMO (SU-MIMO) or multiple-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) transmission.
