FIELD: physics, radio.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering in the centimetre band, particularly to biconical radiators, and can be used in ultra-wideband communication systems. The aperture of the biconical radiator, which is fed by a coaxial cable through a coaxial exciter structure, includes a periodic structure of an anisotropic medium - a polarisation filter. The polarisation filter is a symmetrical structure which is coaxial with the power supply, said structure consisting of trapezoidal metal plates directed at an angle of 40°-50° to the plane perpendicular to the axis of the antenna and passing through the geometric centre of the biconical radiator.
EFFECT: enabling operation of the antenna on two orthogonal vertical and horizontal polarisations.
