FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: switched reluctance motor contains the salient pole stator with 8 concentrated poles with windings and the rotor with 6 poles without windings. Angular width of the stator poles and angular width of interpolar distance of the stator is 22.5 degrees. Angular width of the rotor poles and angular width of interpolar distance of the rotor is 30 degrees. The motor stator is fitted with concentric two-phase windings, and windings of each of two phases enclose at the same time three poles and one pole of the stator. Number of turns enclosing three poles of the stator is related to number of turns enclosing one pole of the stator, approximately as 1/0.4. The windings are controlled by two-phase sinusoidal current.

EFFECT: decrease of number of motor leads, decrease of total power of power semiconductor inverter devices, improvement of motor and inverter efficiency.
