FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: low-speed switched reluctance motor contains the salient pole stator and the rotor. The stator has 8 concentrated poles with windings. The rotor has 10 poles without windings. The motor stator is fitted with concentric two-phase windings. Windings of each of two phases enclose at the same time three poles and one pole of the stator, and the number of turns enclosing three poles of the stator relates to the number of turns enclosing one pole of the stator, approximately as 1/0.4. The windings are controlled by two-phase sinusoidal current.
EFFECT: reduced number of motor leads, reduced total power of power semiconductor inverter devices.
