FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway equipment, particularly, to cars couplers. Proposed coupler assembly comprises tie device (10) arranged between front limiter (6) and rear limiter (7) between car central girders (1, 2). Front limiter (6) is rigidly connected with central girders (1, 2) of car frame. Rear limiter (7) is can displace between central girders (1, 2) of car frame. Thrust bracket (9) is located behind rear limiter (7) permanently connected with car frame. Energy absorbing unit (12) of high absorption capacity is arranged between thrust bracket (9) and rear limiter (7). Bar (8) is connected with rear limiter (7) to displace towards bore (13) with mechanical cutters (15) secured over periphery of said bore.
EFFECT: decreased weight of coupler, simplified design, damping of high energy originating in car frame.
