FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: according to the method commencement of hydrate formation process in the flow line is determined by measuring temperature of gas coming to input of the gas processing plant (GPP) from the flow line. Gas temperature dynamics is compared to dynamics for design value of this temperature. At that commencement of hydrate formation process in the gas-gathering flow line is determined by automatic process control system of the GPP (GPP APCS). By means of the same system gas pressure is reduced at the flow line output within framework of process limitations. Gas temperature is measured simultaneously at output of gas-gathering flow line. When the above temperature is decreased hydrate inhibitor is supplied to the above flow line. If temperature decrease continues then gas-gathering flow line is purged. When gas temperature is stable or increased at the flow line output then hydrate inhibitor is not supplied to this flow line.

EFFECT: improved quality of gas field operation due to reduced consumption of hydrate inhibitor and reduced own costs of extracted and pre-treated gas before transportation.
