SUBSTANCE: invention relates to SCR-system for purification of exhaust gases. This system feeds reducing agent to feeder (230) for it to feed it into dispenser (250) for dosed feed with the help of valve mechanism (350, 360) to consumption point in SCR-system. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. Continuous determination (s410) of aggregate number N of doses injected by said dispenser (250). Continuous comparison (s420, s430) of said aggregate number (N) of injected doses with predefined numerical number (TH). Output of instruction (s440) when said aggregate number (N) of injected doses exceeds said predefined numerical value (TH). Invention relates also to computer software product including program code (P) for computer (200, 210, 500) for implementation of described process in compliance with this invention. Besides, invention relates to SCR system and vehicle (100, 110) equipped with such system.
EFFECT: optimised replacement of dispenser, lower risks of SCR-system operating performances.
