SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and system for processing exhaust gases, in which a reducing agent is fed into a stream of engine exhaust gas. SCR system comprises SCR catalyst (265). Upstream of catalyst (265) of SCR there is filter (260) with SCR functional coating. First dosing unit (250a) for provision of reducing agent is arranged upstream of said filter (260), and second dosing unit (250b) for provision of reducing agent is arranged upstream of said SCR catalyst (265) and downstream of said filter (260). Method comprises steps of: continuously determining differential pressure (P) over said filter (260); controlling dosing of said first and said second dosing units (250a, 250b) on basis of thus determined differential pressure (P) over said filter (260).
EFFECT: use of invention enables to redistribute dosing of reducing agent between two dosing units depending on accumulation of soot in filter.
