SUBSTANCE: invention relates to SCR (selective catalytic reduction) system which contains bather for chemical reducing agent feeding. Proposed invention consists in the following: method is relevant to SCR systems which contain batcher (250) to feed chemical reducing agent to exhaust pipe (240) for purification of exhaust gases and reservoir for chemical reducing agent, herewith, the method includes phase of selection (s310; s340) of limiting level for chemical reducing agent in the reservoir (205). The method also includes phases of determination (s320) of requirement to bather (250) cooling and selection (s340) of limiting level for chemical reducing agent in the reservoir (205) based on the said requirement to cooling. Also, the proposed invention relates to computer software product containing program code (P) for computer (200; 210; 400) designed for implementation of the method according to the invention. Invention is also relevant to device in SCR system which contains batcher (250) to feed chemical reducing agent to exhaust pipe (240) for purification of exhaust gases , and to vehicle (100) equipped with such device.
