FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: thrust bearing of liquid friction comprises ring bearing plate (1) with smooth work hardened surface and ring centre plate (2) located in the machine casing (4). On the work surface (3) of the centre plate (2) the convex beads are located, they are made out of fine-needled martensite, side surface of beads create wedges together with the centre plate (1). The beads are located on the work surface (3) of the central plate (2) along radiuses, and they are located with spacing L = (1.5÷3)h on the internal diameter of the central plate D0 (h is bead width) and go to the outside diameter Dmax creating the first system, on the diameter D1 = 2D0 the beginning of beads of the second system are located, they go to outside diameter Dmax and are located at middle between the beads of the first system, and on the diameter D2 = 4D0 the beginning of beads of the third system is located, the beads go to outside diameter Dmax and are located in middle between the beads of the fist and second system. The beads can be of same length and located on radiuses in range of diameters of the centre plate from (0.5÷0.8) Dmax to Dmax.

EFFECT: creation of the thrust bearing of the liquid friction able to operate in two directions of rotation, at minor number of starts and shutdowns, withstanding short-term overloads and not requiring high accuracy machines and multiple operations during its manufacturing, not requiring shaping-up, easy in installation and operation.
