FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: facial bones osteosynthesis trocar comprises a hollow metal tube and a metal core. At its working end, the hollow metal tube has two triangular projections with cutting edges. In the lower one-third of the hollow metal core from the working end, there is a circular slot from the outside, which bears an attachment to the hollow metal tube; the attachment has a detachable cylinder portion with a catch lock. In the middle of the cylinder portion, there is a projection insertable into the circular slot of the hollow metal tube. Two movable flexible plate elements extend from the cylinder portion of the attachment and have opposite rounded ends.

EFFECT: facial bones osteosynthesis trocar makes it possible to mount the hollow metal tube in the bone, to achieve the accurate insertion direction of a drill and a screwdriver, to retain the plate in the desired position when fixing the plate with screws, to enlarge the surgical area, to improve the field of vision, to minimise a risk of injuries, to provide the more comfortable environment of the manipulations.
