SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device, a method and data medium and improvement of a user interface for displaying a menu. The menu display device includes: means of displaying a given portion on a screen within a menu, wherein a plurality of menu items are arranged in a list; means of moving said portion in response to a given operation performed by the user; means of determining whether or not an end menu item is displayed within the menu in a given position on the screen; means of changing the interval between menu items displayed on the screen in response to the given operation performed by the user when the end menu item is displayed in a given position on the screen.
EFFECT: controlling display of menu items such that the user can right away understand that an end menu item is displayed on the screen.
