SUBSTANCE: invention relates to display devices and user interface of smart TV. Disclosed is a display device comprising: a display for displaying a cursor based on input of the control device; and a controller for controlling the display to add visual effects to the cursor on the edge of the scrolling area or to the scrolling area based on the scrolling distance of the control device in response to detecting the position of the cursor leaving the scrolling area on the edge of the scroll area. Controller stops adding a visual effect to the cursor in response to a distance exceeding the threshold value. Effect of deformation of the shape of the cursor or the edge of the scroll zone can be used as visual effects.
EFFECT: technical result is providing user with intuitive and natural perception of scrolling text, image or video displayed on monitor.
