FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tasty beverages and dry powdered water-soluble compositions with a non-chocolate taste. According to one version, the composition contains a cocoa extract containing cocoa polyphenols, sucrase, a food acid and a carrier medium. The carrier medium is represented by maltodextrin. According to another version, the composition may contain a cocoa extract, a food acid (the weight ratio whereof is at least 18%) and a sweetener; according to the third version, the composition may contain a cocoa extract, a food acid (the weight ratio whereof is at least 18%) and a sweetener; with the composition containing particles with a specific size. According to the fourth version, the ratio of food acid to cocoa extract in the composition is equal to or in excess of 0.8.
EFFECT: invention ensures production of a composition with a red or auburn colour and with a pleasant taste other than that of chocolate; additionally, the composition dispersion in case of addition to water is facilitated.
