FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: radar level indicator comprises a level sensor 1, a unit 2 of microstrip antenna 3 directional path control, an interface converter 4 and a device 5 of phase shifter 6 control. The unit 2 is installed on the inner side of the antenna 3 and comprises controlled phase shifters 6 and a unit 7 of microstrip antenna angular position measurement. The position of the directional path of the microstrip antenna 3 is changed by means of phase control of a probing signal excited by various groups of elementary emitters 10. The control signal is generated on the basis of the data of the unit 7 and the required angle of the directional path inclination angle arriving from the sensor 1. Phase shifters 6 are made on the basis of microcircuit chips that realise the varactor method of signal phase control. The unit 7 is made on the basis of a solid-state accelerometer.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of a level indicator due to increased accuracy of product level measurement in reservoirs.
