FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by reacting sodium silicate and sulphuric acid in an aqueous solution containing 2.5-8.4 g/l aluminium oxide. The obtained aqueous dispersion is moulded in a hydrocarbon medium to obtain spherical particles of aluminosilicate hydrogel. The hydrogel particles are treated in sodium carbonate solution. The treated hydrogel particles then undergo synaeresis at pH 8.8-9.5. The hydrogel is then activated in aluminium sulphate solution, washed with water and calcined.
EFFECT: high mechanical strength of the product and stability of reproducing properties of the obtained adsorbent.
