METHOD FOR STABILIZATION OF WELDING CURRENT AT HAND ELECTRIC-ARC WELDING AND WELDING GENERATOR FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC H02P9/38

Abstract RU 2315420 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering, applicable at hand electric-arc welding.

SUBSTANCE: the welding current is produced by an induction generator with a short-circuited rotor, and two windings the stator-an exciting winding and an inducing winding, with exciting capacitors, connected in parallel with the exciting capacitors are the working windings of the magnetic amplifiers, whose inductances are smoothly changed due to the change of the magnetic permeabilities of the magnetic of these magnetic amplifiers under the influence of the change of the value of the welding current streaming past in succession all the control windings of the magnetic amplifiers. This in turn provides for a smooth change of the influence of the exciting capacitors. Two windings the exciting winding and the working windings-are placed in one and the same grooves of the stator in the induction generator with a short-circuited rotor in the form of a "squirrel" cage realizing this method. This provides for the maximum magnetic coupling between the two windings. Connected to the exciting winding are capacitive exciting capacitors with the working windings of the magnetic amplifiers connected n parallel with them, their control windings are connected in series. Connected to the generator working winding on one side are the delta-connected compounding capacitors, and on the other side-the shunting capacitors and a three phase bridge rectifier, whose one output is connected to the input of the control winding of the first magnetic amplifier, and the output of the control winding of the third magnetic amplifier is connected to the welding electrode. The second output of the three-phase brined rectifier is connected to the part to be welded.

EFFECT: improved quality of welding due to stabilization of the welding current.
