SUBSTANCE: when there is no command to accelerate or brake a vehicle, and driving power is transmitted from an engine (2) to master wheels (4), the decision on the possibility of overrunning is made on the basis of comparison of the required braking rate Dt, which is considered as the braking rate to be further achieved by a vehicle (1), with the braking rate during overrunning Dn, which is considered as the braking rate during overrunning. In case of possible overrunning they disconnect coupling C1 of a gear (3), fuel supply to the engine (2) is also cut off.
EFFECT: prevention of overrunning in those cases when it may become a source of concern and discomfort for a driver.
