FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: packing gland of a compressor comprises a casing with a drain sealing chamber with a cup and a spring supporting it being set in every chamber, an annular spacer is set at the wall of the casing in each drain sealing chamber, the external surface of the spacer is provided with a groove communicating with the internal surface of the spacer through at least one hole. A drain channel connecting the casing end to the said groove is made in the casing.
EFFECT: invention improves the reliability of packing gland performance.
