FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is intended for main thrust bearings of ship shaft lines operating at considerable axial and impact loads. Sliding thrust bearing comprises a housing and a housing cover, two inserts, cages, thrust pads, upper and lower balancers are located in the housing, oil baffles are located on the bearing ends and oil sealing rings, in the cage there are supports for the lower balancers, the ribs of the supports entering the slots of the lower balancers determine the location of the balancers, slides are installed on the upper balancers, the balancer system is fixed with locking plates. Lubricant is supplied to the bearing through channels made in the fore and aft walls of the housing cover, in the channels the lubricating fluid flow is separated, part of the lubricant is supplied through channels and slots in the housing cover to the working area of the insert, part of the lubricant is supplied through the groove and the channels in the cage are supplied to the manifolds installed between the thrust pads, the lubricant is supplied through the holes in the manifolds to the working zone of the thrust pads and the thrust ridge.
EFFECT: longer bearing life.
