SUBSTANCE: packing gland for gas compressors comprises a sealing chamber set in a separate housing and containing a split sealing ring with its segments being tightened by a ring-spring, and a split lock ring with its segments being tightened by a ring-spring as well. The sealing and lock rings in every sealing chamber are fixed to each other by a pin. Every sealing chamber additionally comprises a thrust ring attached to the casing by lead screws and is pressed against the sealing ring by a point spring.

EFFECT: invention improves the reliability of packing gland performance.
