FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes repeated consecutive leaching of red slime by carbonate solution at passing through the air-gas mix pulp containing CO2. Then slime separation and washing, and scandium extraction from the obtained solution are performed. The leaching is performed at passing through the slurry pulp of the air-gas mix containing CO2 at the pressure 3.0-6.0 bar in the vibrocavitational mode with subsequent two-phase conditioning of productive solution at increased temperatures. At the first stage - at the temperature no less than 90°C and pH value 9.0-9.5 within 3 hours with further filtration of the formed low soluble compounds of impurity components, at the second stage - at the temperature 100-110°C within 3 hours with adding of sodium hydroxide solution up to pH≥12.5, and scandium concentrate is settled.
EFFECT: increase of level of extraction of scandium and increase of yield of the target product.
