FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to wind power engineering and is intended to generate energy due to incoming air flow of wind. A wind-driven power plant includes elements receiving wind energy and fixed on tops of masts, each base of which is attached to a carriage that can be moved along an infinitely closed track, and an electric generator; with that, carriages are connected to each other by means of an infinitely closed flexible power circuit, and the elements receiving wind energy occupy vertical position relative to the infinitely closed track in a working stroke mode with their further rotation to the horizontal position in an idle mode; with that, they can also be fixed between vertical and horizontal positions.
EFFECT: simpler design of the proposed device and an electric energy generation method with simultaneous provision of minimum resistance of a canvas to incoming air flow in an idle mode.
