SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks and can be used to select orthogonal transmission parameters for demodulation reference signals in wireless communication systems. Each demodulation reference signal is determined by determining values of cyclic shift and orthogonal cover code, wherein minimum separations of cyclic shifts between reference signals of different levels are determined, and the semi-static code shift value nDMRS is independently configurable for each component carrier.
EFFECT: providing better orthogonality between multiplexed demodulation reference signals from different transmission levels.
