FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: method for multiplexing DMRS signals carried out on a transmitting device in a wireless communication system includes a step in which for N MIMO streams a DMRS structure is determined, consisting of REs, along which the corresponding N DMRS signals are multiplexed, where each RE in the frequency domain is determined by an OFDM subcarrier from a set of OFDM subcarriers of a wireless communication system and in the time domain - an OFDM symbol. Each of the OFDM subcarriers in the DMRS structure is assigned to one of the L CDM groups such that the distance between the OFDM subcarriers of any one CDM group in the DMRS structure is the same. Each CDM group provides multiplexing of DMRS signals by using DFT FD-OCC of length Kf and DFT TD-OCC of length Kt, so that the DMRS signals in the CDM group are mutually orthogonal, with L equal to 4, L*Kf*Kt=N. The DMRS structure is continuously repeated over a set of OFDM subcarriers.

EFFECT: multiplexing of a larger number of DMRS signals, providing dynamic adaptability without significantly changing the structure of the improved DMRS demodulation reference signals.
