SUBSTANCE: method of mounting the printing form on the plate cylinder is described, equipped with a channel in which the front and rear means for fastening are mounted. The rear means for fastening is a part of the skids mounted with the possibility of their movement along the path of tension to the front means for fastening. At the first stage of the operation of tensioning the skids with the rear edge of the printing form fixed in the rear means for fastening is moved to the first channel wall and at that the printing form is tensioned, at the second stage of the operation of tensioning the printing form is unloaded by moving the skids from the first wall of the channel to its second wall, and at the third stage of the operation of tensioning the skids with the rear edge of the printing form, fastened in the rear means for fastening are moved again to the first wall of the channel, and the printing form is tensioned.
