SUBSTANCE: described is a method of mounting printing plate on plate cylinder equipped with a channel in which there are front and rear clamps clamping device, wherein rear clamping device is part of slide bars located inside channel to move along tension to front clamping device, wherein at stage of clamp slides together with rear edge of printing plate fixed in rear clamping device, first, moved to front clamping device, after which rear positioning element is mounted in position relative to slide to define preset removal rear clamp from second channel wall, and deactivating drive for clamping.
EFFECT: slides with rear clamping device are held in their clamping position along at least due to that strength of clamped printing plate acting on slide through rear slide positioning element presses on them in direction of second channel wall.
