FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: passive restraint system of a motorcar comprises a set of overload sensors and a control unit connected electrically to actuators of gas generators, and an outer airbag with lattice-shaped slots, which is inflated from under the hood and which covers the windshield of the motorcar with the front racks and the front edge of the roof. The airbag along its upper edge at the outer damping surface has a board, the front and rear surfaces of which are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the motorcar.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of protection due to the counteraction of the airbag to the movement of pedestrians and road users through the roof of the motorcar under the transport moving at the back.
