FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an installation for tobacco pile-pressing that contains a press chamber, two swaying press plates, the press plates drive including an electrical motor, a reduction gear as well as the press plates lever mechanism and a charging conveyor. The press plates drive is positioned on a horizontal frame attached to the framework in the upper part of the press chamber. The axle of the crank drive shaft is height-adjusted so that in the terminal positions of the lever mechanism the piston rods on the press plates levers and the piston rod pivotally connected to the drive shaft crank are positioned horizontally with the charging conveyor drive drum connected to the output shaft of the press plates drive reducing gear.

EFFECT: reduction of load in the sections of the press plates framework connection to the upper and the lower frames.
