FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to a front panel for a socket. The front panel for the socket comprises front surfaces containing at least one part of a flat surface, at least one opening through which a plug may be inserted to the socket. The cover is adapted for the closure of the above opening when a plug is not inserted into the socket. The cover is designed for the sliding movement between the first position when the above opening is closed and the second position when the above opening is open in order to insert a plug. The sliding movement is represented by the non-linear sliding movement between the above first position and the above second position, at that the cover in its second position is placed in front of the above front surface and overlaps it.
EFFECT: provision of sufficient space for the cover and retracting mechanism.
