FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: electrical socket is provided with a cap that is connected to the socket by a tether providing voltage to the cap. In the closed position, the cap closes the opening of the electrical socket, in the open position the cap provides access to the electrical socket. Cap has an inner and outer surface, each of which has one or more electrical ports. When the cap is closed, the electrical ports located on the inner surface are not accessible, and ports located on the outer surface of the cap are accessible. When the cap is open, electrical ports located on the inner surface and the electrical socket are accessible. Tether is electrically connected to the socket.

EFFECT: technical result is providing convenience when using the socket.
