SUBSTANCE: method includes spacing apart and connecting receiving points with each other and the central station of a ground-based data transmission network; synchronising procedures of processing signals at transmitting and receiving positions from universal time stamps; selecting from the received signals by filtering Doppler frequencies and further detecting an interference beat signal; in each receiving position in corresponding beams, receiving the forward radio signals and radio signals reflected from a mobile object using a parallel set of receiving partial channels corresponding to the number of signals emitted by the transmitting position and tuned to one of the carrier frequencies of the probing signal; selecting the number of beams based on the number of transmitting positions located in the visibility range; in each receiving position for any mobile object, comparing the amplitude of signals in the receiving partial channels at the same Doppler frequency reduced to any channel of that (or neighbouring) receiving position; based on the measured coordinates of the mobile object from one or more receiving positions at the central station, based on an extrapolation method, constructing the trajectory of the mobile object, information of which is transmitted to an information recipient.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining the trajectory of a mobile object.
