FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to lightened structural steel to manufacture the tank for vehicle fuel. Steel has the following chemical composition, in wt %: C 0.04-2, Mn 14-30, Al 1.5-12, Si 0.3-3, Cr 0.12-6, additionally one or several following elements: Ti, V, Nb, B, Zr, Mo, Ni, Cu, W, Co, P and N - 5% each, and in total - up to 10%, rest - iron and inevitable admixtures. Part of α'-martensite prior to or after deformation is 3% maximum, and equivalent of α'-martensite is from 3.4 to 10.5 and is determined by equation: 0.1*Mn + C + 0.5*Al + 0.05*Si.
EFFECT: upon vehicle collision high plasticity of steel is ensured, creation of crack due to hydrogen is excluded.
