FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to slags treatment during blast-furnace smelting of titanium magnetite concentrates. In the slag pot of the blast furnace the liquid hot blast-furnace slag produced during the blast-furnace smelting of titanium magnetite concentrates is supplied, the slag contains titanium dioxide TiO2 and alumina Al2O3, reducing agent and flux are supplied, from the produced melt iron, titanium and silicon are recovered, slag is drained. The ferroaluminium or metal aluminium with iron additives, or mixture of the ferroaluminium with metal aluminium with iron additives are used as the reducing agent, density is in range from density of liquid blast-furnace slag to 5.5 kg/dm3 and with metal aluminium content in amount exceeding by (0.6÷2.5) times the stoichiometric quantity of the metal aluminium.

EFFECT: assurance of increased degree of the titanium recovery from the initial blast-furnace slag, reduced power consumption for titanium recovery, reduced aluminium consumption as part of the reducing agent during production of iron, titanium and silicon alloy, associated production of final slag with alumina content at least 35 wt % in form of clinker to produce aluminous cements.
