FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of steel from iron-carbon by-product. Aluminium-containing wastes is presented by aluminium scrap, briquetted with scrap of ferrous metals, wherein fraction of aluminium scrap pellets is not more than 20 %, and its amount for melting is 0.3-2.5 % of weight of steel, wherein oxygen blowing is performed after supply of liquid iron-carbon by-product, said pellets and slag forming materials, and containing oxides of calcium and magnesium slag-forming materials are supplied on basis of obtaining slag of eutectic composition in system CaO-Al2O3-MgO: CaO 45-48 %, Al2O3 45-48 %, MgO 5-7 %.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing portion of scrap of ferrous metals in steel production, higher efficiency of oxygen converter due to increased output of liquid steel, reducing time for oxygen blowing, increasing resistance of lining and low consumption of oxygen.
